Dear All,
This term has passed so quickly. It seems like in a blink of an eye we have left the fresh beginnings of the school year to the expectation of Christmas and a New Year.
It is wonderful to see the new school building fully operational and a hive of educational activity and achievement. Many of you will have seen how spacious it is inside and its capacity to host a multitude of resources to facilitate the learning of our pupils.
This term, the school hosted a group of pupils and staff from Spain as part of the Erasmus programme which offers wonderfully enriching experiences and opportunities for our pupils. The staff look forward to taking a group of pupils to Spain next April.
The Parents and Friends Group is going from strength to strength and gathering momentum post Covid. The group has a new committee who are working hard to provide a voice for parents and carers, act as a social forum and initiate and plan fund raising events. It was very heartening to see many parents and carers attend a series of coffee mornings arranged earlier this term. Thank you to all involved, for your contributions and participation.
When I read the weekly updates on the school app, I’m reminded of the many, ( far too many to mention here,) educationally broadening initiatives that take place in school day by day, week by week. This is testament to the hard work, dedication and Professionalism of the Principal and staff who work with our pupils. This term can be a gruelling one and I hope the Christmas break will provide some restful recuperation for all staff and pupils alike.
And so on behalf of the Board of Management, I would like to wish all our staff, pupils, parents, carers and extended families a very joyful and peaceful Christmas and every good wish for 2023.
