Final Message from Principal for this year

Dear Parents/Guardians, Pupils, Staff and School Community,

School Holiday are here! School finishes today at 12.30pm.

We look forward to waving our 6th class down the school path for 12.30pm - we wish them well with their new chapter and we hope you enjoy a wonderful summer.

Thank you and farewell to all our pupils today - you have been a super bunch to work with and you all make Ballymitty NS a very happy, colourful and warm place to be. We hope you have a happy and healthy summer!

I thank the parents/guardians, grandparents, siblings, childminders for all your support over the past year. It has once again been a challenging year where sometimes there never seems to be enough time, people, resources, supports but your understanding, co-operation and kindness make it easier. I hope you all have a wonderful summer.

I want to thank our super staff up here in the school. Everyone up here works as a team and you bring spirit, colour, vigour and passion to your classrooms everyday. I am privileged to work with people who always have the pupils' best intentions at heart. You all deserve a good rest over the summer - enjoy every minute.

We say farewell today to Ms. Karen Robinson who has been our jobshare teacher in 4th/5th this year. Karen is heading off to teach in Rathgarougue NS and we wish her all the best in her new permanent position. Thank you for all you have done in 4th/5th class and a part of the Ballymitty NS team.

We say a temporary farewell to Ms. Áine Foley today who will take a Career Break next year to explore Europe! We wish you a safe and happy journey and don't forget to come back to us!

Finally, today, we congratulate Ms. Rachel Butler who is getting married in July! We wish you and yours a wonderful day with family and friends.

My thanks to the Board of Management for all your time and support over the past year.

School is open for July Provision and Summer Programme for some pupils over the next two weeks from 10am - 2pm.

The school office will be open until July 15th. We will take a well earned rest and return in mid August.

We hope that our building works will be finished by the end of August. We may need some parents/guardians to help out with the moving of furniture and equipment towards the end of August.

For now, I wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy Summer. See you all on August 31st.

Míle, míle buíochas go léir,

Audrey
