School closure:
School is closed on Monday next due to there being no electricity. We look forward to seeing the pupils on Tuesday morning.
Car park
As you all know, the carpark opposite the school carpark is now open for parents to use. It is being used by many people everyday and this has ensured greater safety for our road users and pedestrians. We know that members of the Ballymitty Hall Committee and local volunteers worked very hard to get it ready and at an extra cost to them. We certainly appreciate the work that was done and we support the future works for the new hall. A donation will be given to the Hall Committee to thank them for making our pupils' journeys to school safer.
I have also been in touch with Verona Murphy to see when the bollards and signage will be installed at the pedestrian crossing. I will update you as soon as I hear.
GAA coaching
This resumes next Thurs. Jan. 19th and we hope the weather will allow us to do the morning session at 8.30am. We will update you on Wednesday afternoon.
Swimming for 3rd and 4th classes
A letter will go out on the app/website on Wednesday next with all the information for swimming.
Educational Tours
It is that time of the year when we start to plan for educational trips and tours. These educational trips are usually done in March. Stay tuned for more information.
Parents and Friends Group Meeting
This has been rescheduled for Thurs. Jan. 19th in school at 8pm.
Grandparents' Day
On Friday January 27th from 10 - 12 midday we welcome our Grandparents into school. We sent home this flyer yesterday!
