School Administration

Alison Prunty

School Secretary Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

I live in Ballymitty Co Wexford. I live closest to the school out of all the staff. I moved here 4 years ago from London in search of a better lifestyle. London is too busy and the pace of life is too fast. I left school when I was 16 and got my first job with an electronics company as a Junior Accounts clerk. I progressed to a Senior Accounts Clerk and left the company after 7 years. I then started working for a drinks wholesaler which was part of Heineken UK where I was the Office Manager. I was in the drinks trade for over 15 years and unfortunately the job ended with redundancy. I am a Qualified Transport Manager.  I have an Operator’s licence for the UK and International. I am now doing a Job share with Helena Boyce as school secretary and I really love it. The staff and pupils are all great. We are kept busy answering the phone, sending emails, photocopying, liaising with parents, ordering stationery and doing general office work.

Trish O'Grady

School Cleaner

I joined the staff of Ballymitty National School in January 2011 as Cleaner. Isabelle Flynn was Principal at this time, followed by Mary Regan and now Audrey McCarthy.

Before this I worked in Wallaces, Wellingtonbridge for a number of years. I am married to Eamonn and have two wonderful children named Eamonn and Shelly and a lovely grand daughter named Tamara.

My role as cleaner involves a daily cleaning routing, changing a bulb or two and a deep clean throughout the summer break.

I was once a pupil of this school and having lived close by walked to and from school. The school then consisted of three classrooms and a prefab. How times have changed!

I enjoy watching most sport and attend as many games as I can. It was an amazing highlight to be in Croke Park when Wexford Camogie won the three in a row. I also enjoy travelling to the Leinster and all Ireland Fleadhs which are held throughout the summer.

The staff and pupils make me feel so welcome so here’s to many more enjoyable years of cleaning!

Trish.
