Dear Parents/Guardians,
The pupils are all very excited here today as they begin coding classes! Frank Turner is doing the classes and the children in the younger classes are doing everything from mouse control to Electric Dough Lab to Scratch while the older classes are doing HOC Minecraft, Scratch, Makecode Arcade, Robotics and Cryptography. This is all in line with the new STEM programme in the new Primary Curriculum.
We are asking parents to contribue towards the cost of these classes. They will run on Tuesdays for six weeks. Some of the school Lotto monies that are raised will be used so we are asking parents to pay €15 per child. Helena will send an Aladdin link for this payment today. On the Aladdin link, you can change the amount so that if you have more that one child you can pay €15 per child.
We understand that January is not the best time for asking for money but schools cannot afford to pay for these lessons without the support of parents.
We thank you for your support.
Regards,
Audrey
