Note: this article only concerns the 17 pupils who will travel to Spain next May on our next Erasmus trip.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have completed the bookings of flights and hotel for the Erasmus trip. Please note the dates for your diaries and some other important information:
Flights
Dublin to Barcelona with Ryanair FR 3977
Departing Dublin at 06:10 Mon 5th May (please note this is the May Bank Holiday Monday!)
Arriving to Barcelona at 09:40
Return flight on Fri. May 9th
Departing Barcelona at 10:30
Arriving to Dublin at 12:15
We will take a Wexford Bus to and from the airport - too early at this point to book the buses. These will be booked in Jan/Feb. 2025.
Hotel
We will be staying at the Hotel Palas La Pineda where we will have breakfast and evening meals. You can see the hotel at this website: https://www.palaspineda.com/en
Pupils will be in triple rooms in single beds each.
Schedule for that week
Day 1: Travel Day
Day 2: We will visit the school Escola San Bernat Calvo in Vila-Seca, about 15 mins on a bus from our hotel - you can see the school on their website here: https://agora.xtec.cat/esc-sant-bernat-calbo-reus/
Day 3: We will spend the day in Tarragona City with a class from the school visiting the Amphitheatre and other city landmarks.
Day 4: We will visit Port Aventura Theme Park - you can read all about it here: https://www.portaventuraworld.com/en/portaventura
Day 5: Travel home
Other information:
- We will be asking for a €50 non refundable deposit in January - we will send an Aladdin link for this.
- All travel, transport, hotel and food are paid for from our Erasmus fund.
- We will need to put in the names on the flights in February so please have passports sorted for then. Passports must be valid for another six months before we depart for travel. In other words, if your passport is out of date in Nov/Dec 2025 it may not be accepted.
- I will send out more information to all the parents concerned after Christmas.
It will be a wonderful experience for the children.
