First sod turned for the new hall in Ballymitty!

Dear School Community,

It was great to see the first sod being turned yesterday in the site where the new hall in Ballymitty will be. Well done to the Hall Committee who have worked tirelessly over the past 12 years to get to this point. We salute their enthusiasm and spirit.

The first sods were turned by local representatives and politicians such as Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary, Minister for Housing James Browne, Cllr. Jim Codd and Cllr. Ger Carthy and our 6th class were there too!

This new development will be such an asset to our community.

Building works will commence in the new year so the carpark across the road that the Hall Committee kindly allowed us to use on a temporary basis will be out of action for the duration of the build which they hope will be 9 months.

We wish the Hall Committee all the best with their building works.
