Dear Parents/Guardians,
GAA
This continues every Tuesday for the junior end and every Friday for the senior end.
Erasmus
Well done to our group of pupils and the staff who travelled on the trip to Spain last week. It was a huge success and so great to see our children mixing with the Spanish kids, getting to see the city of Tarragona and testing their bravery limits
We have received €12,000 euros for job shadowing for next year. Staff will travel to Murcia in Spain, Turi in Italy (near Bari) and the Dordogne area of France.
Inter-School Sports
This is next Tuesday in Enniscorthy for the runners who made it through trials. A letter went out yesterday to parents. Please ensure children have sunscreen on them and with them, plenty of drinks and a sun hat as it can be a long day. We are also looking for two parents to give a dig out on the day. Please let Helena know in the office.
Choir
Choir practice for 75th Anniversary Mass - next Monday May 19th at 7pm in Ballymitty Church.
Fun Day
Next Friday - this is to involve our pupils in the 75th celebrations. We will double it up as Sports' Day.
75th Celebrations
- Help needed for next weekend please
Helpers needed to clear out GP room and set up chairs/tables on Friday afternoon from 1 - 3pm.
Help needed to serve tea/coffee and buns/cakes next Saturday May 24th from 3 - 7pm - any donations of buns/sandwiches/cakes greatly appreciated and they can be dropped to the school from 1pm.
Help needed to sell some raffle tickets in Tullycanna Pub next Saturday from 9pm onwards. Funds raised will go to our transport fund to help us lower the costs of tours and trips for our children.
Pupils have been asked to help out next Saturday evening too from 5 - 7pm - those at the senior end who can sing, dance, play music are invited to come in at 5pm. Other pupils have offered to help out by showing people around and selling raffle tickets.
Ballymitty's Got Talent
This is coming up in June. Please remind your children to get their acts ready. This year they will have a chance to do money votes so we ask pupils to really focus on their performance, outfits etc.
Communion
Best of luck to 2nd class tomorrow and to Ms. Foley and the staff involved. May the sun shine for you all.
Regards,
Audrey
