This is a reminder note about Swimming Lessons
Dear Parents/Guardians of 3rd and 4th classes,
Each year 3rd and 4th class will have swimming lessons. This year we have 8 weeks booked from Feb. 2nd to March 30th (excluding the Thurs. 16th Feb of midterm break). Here are the details:
Class: 3rd and 4th Classes
Venue: Ferrybank Swimming Pool
Dates: Thursdays - Feb: 2nd, 9th, 23rd and March: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th
Time: Swim lessons from 10 - 10.45am. Leave school at 9.20am sharp, arrive back to school for 12 midday latest.

Cost for swimming: €10 per child per week = €80 in total. Swimming must be paid for in advance each week or you can pay the whole amount up front.
What pupils will need: swimming suits (no two pieces!) and swimming togs (which can be put on under their clothes), towel, swimming hat. Goggles if your child usually wears them. The pupils won't be washing hair so please ensure long hair is tied up or in a plait.
How to pay: A link will be sent by Aladdin to your email and phone. If you don't receive this it means we have the wrong details so please let us know. Due to the high costs of transport etc. if your child hasn't paid after one week, unfortunately they will remain in school instead of doing swimming lessons.
Supervision: There will be two staff members each week and we are looking for 2 parents each week to give a dig out. If you are free, let us know when you fill out the permission slip. Hopefully we will have enough so that parents only need to help out for one session.
Swimming lessons/aquatics are part of our PE curriculum, learning to swim is a vital skill and we encourage all pupils to participate.
