Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair is next week!
What is the Scholastic Book Fair?
This is a showcase of books and stationery where children and parents can buy books. These bookcases are on display outside Helena's office.
When is the Book Fair?
This will be held next week Monday Nov. 22nd to Friday 26th.
How can pupils buy books?
Pupils can look online at the bookcase by clicking on this link - https://bookfairs.scholastic.ie/bookcases - These are the same books that will be on view in school. Everyday next week, every class will visit the book fair. The children usually view the books on Mon/Tuesday and buy them on Weds. and Thurs.
Do the children buy with cash?
Yes, the children can bring in cash. We advise them to bring in cash on Weds and Thurs only because they view the books on Mon and Tues. Pupils should have the money in a clearly marked envelope. We ask parents to make sure the amount of money they have is written on the envelope.
How can parents buy books?
Parents can come to visit the book fair everyday next week from 2 - 3pm. There won't be any viewing on Friday as the book cases will be taken away Friday afternoon.
Will all the books on sale be available for children to bring home when they buy them?
There are many copies of each book. The last copy isn't sold. If there aren't enough available Helena makes an order and they are delivered the following day.
This is a great way of parents buying books and a certain percentage in sales comes back to the school so that we can buy more books for our school library.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Audrey
