Some end of year reminders!

Some end of year reminders!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

A few reminders before we close the doors tomorrow!

School will close tomorrow at 12 midday. We have heard there is a big water fight planned tomorrow at the school gates - 6th class parents please remind your child to be mindful of younger pupils and other people!

Booklists/Stationery - we will put these up on the website/app on Monday next when we have rolled over all our systems.

School will re-open on Thurs. August 28th.

Building Works - we have to hand the school over by tomorrow evening to the builders who will take over the place for the next two months. We hope these works will be finished by Friday August 22nd but there may be some interruptions in the classes as we settle back in. As we are not allowed on site until Monday August 25th, there will be time needed to get the school back up and running! We may well need the help of some parents on those days!

School office - as we are not permitted on site, Helena and I will be working from home particularly next week. The office will open on Monday Aug. 25th. In the meantime if you have any queries by phone, leave a message or send an email to me on amccarthy@ballymittyns.ie or Helena to ballymittyns@gmail.com

A special farewell today to three pupils leaving us to go to other schools - We wish Kelsey, Alesha and Ben all the best as they continue their journeys.

We also say farewell to two SNAs today. We say farewell to Rose who has been here for 13 years and to Lorna who has been with us since May last year. We thank you both for all your hard work and support for those who need it most. Rose, enjoy your retirement and Lorna, all the best in your new chapter in your new school.

Finally, I would like to say a very big thank you to all our staff, parents and pupils for everything they have done to contribute to school life this year. We appreciate all the support we get from parents/Parents and Friends' Group - your support is integral to your child's learning, success and happiness in our school. To the staff who give so much everyday, your team spirit, enthusiasm and best intentions make this a very special place to work in. Finally, to our pupils, you are the reason we all get here everyday with a smile on our faces. We wish you the happiest and safest of summers and we hope the sun shines for you.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir as bhur gcuid oibre crua ar son na scoile. Guím samhradh sona agus sábháilte oraibh go léir, le go leor gréine. Feicfimid sibh arís go déanach i mí Lúnasa.

Audrey
