Dear Parents/Guardians of 3rd and 4th classes,
Each year in our school, 3rd and 4th classes have swimming lessons. Swimming lessons/aquatics are part of our PE curriculum and learning to swim is a vital skill. This is a whole class activity and we encourage all pupils to participate.
This year we have 6 weeks booked from Sept. 18th to Oct. 23rd March 14th. Here are the details:
Classes involved: 3rd and 4th Classes
Venue: Ferrybank Swimming Pool, Wexford
Dates: Thursdays at 12 midday - Thurs. Sept. 18th, 25th, Oct. 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.
Time: Swim lessons from 12 - 12.45. Bus will leave school at 11.15am & arrive back to school for 1.30pm.

Cost for swimming: €10 per child per week = €60 in total. Swimming must be paid for in advance each week or you can pay the whole amount up front.
Cost of the bus: This will be paid by the Parents and Friends' Group and we thank them for this contribution.
What pupils will need: swimming suits (no two pieces!) and swimming togs (which can already be on under their clothes on Thurs. mornings), towel, swimming hat and goggles if your child usually wears them. The pupils won't be washing hair so please ensure long hair is tied up or in a plait.
How to pay: A link will be sent by Aladdin to your email for payment.
Supervision: We are looking for 2 parents each week to give a dig out. If you are free, let us know when you fill out the permission slip. Hopefully we will have enough so that parents only need to help out for one session.
