It is with pleasure that I welcome you to St. Joseph’s N.S. - or as we are known locally - Ballymitty N.S.! I hope you find the information you need on our school website.
The focus for the staff of this school every day is to ensure that all pupils are taught in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. The size and structure of our school allows for all staff to know the needs, abilities and disabilities of all pupils and therefore each child is treated as a special individual. Encouragement, support and praise are given to pupils to ensure that they achieve their potential academically and that they grow physically, socially and spiritually.
When pupils depart in 6th class we want them to be equipped with the knowledge and skills for second level schooling and beyond. We want them to have the values that will support them in life. We build these values everyday through our school motto: Kind Hands, Kind Feet, Kind Words, Kind Hearts. We want them to be creative thinkers, problem solvers and active participants in our society and we believe that our main job as teachers and support staff is to create happy memories for our pupils.
It is an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of this school. Please stop by and say hello! Together, I know we will make this school a place of growth and achievement for all children.
