Dear Parents/Guardians,
An oven will be installed tomorrow so we do hope we are up and running for Hot Lunches from Monday next April 15th! I will let you know for definite on Friday on my usual weekly article.
How to order lunches:
Before Easter, every child got an information sheet with their name, username and password details. You go into the Freshtoday website - https://www.freshtoday.ie/ and log in using these details. You can change the password to suit yourselves. When you go in, you click on the day and you will see that Chicken Curry has been chosen for all pupils by default for the first week. So, if you don't choose an option your child will get this all of next week. You click on the alternative image and you will see the range of options, You need to choose your options before tomorrow at 6pm. This will be the same each week - orders must be by 6pm on the Thursday or your child's lunches will be the same the next week.
Do you need to use the FreshToday app?
You can log in each week on the Freshtoday website or you can choose to download the App.
If parents wish to use the app you can either email us or contact us by phone and we can provide them with the activation code for the App. Each information sheet had an activation code on it and here are the details on how to use the App:
- Visit the Apple or Google Play store and download the Freshtoday app.
- Open the Freshtoday app and click “Register”.
- Enter your name, email and phone number and click “Submit”.
- Enter your preferred password to use with the account and click “Get Started”.
- A one-time Passcode will be emailed to the email address you entered.
- Please check your email and recover that 4 digit passcode.
- Enter the code and click “Continue”.
- Add your child or student using the activation code( this is on the information sheet given to all parents), then click “Add Student”.
- Confirm your student or child allergens.
- If you want to add another child or student, click “Add Another Student”.
- The Freshtoday app will conveniently allow you to add and change orders for multiple children using the same login.
What to do if you can't find the information sheet with the log in details and activation code for the App?
You must contact them by email at wexford@FreshToday.ie - give them the name of your child/children, your school name and they will email the information sheet to you.
The school does not have any of these details so please contact them directly yourself.
What to do if you choose to opt out of the Hot Lunches?
All children will get lunch next week by default and we encourage all kids to try what they get. From speaking to other schools, sometimes the fact that their peers are eating hot lunches can encourage other children. Ultimately, you will know what they have eaten as the lunch boxes will all go home.
What do you need to remember for next Monday when the Hot Lunches start?
Each child will receive a plastic lunchbox from Freshtoday which will go home every evening with the carton of food. This allows parents to see the quality of the food, the nutrients contained in it and what was eaten or not! You must discard of all the waste at home and wash the plastic lunchbox and send it in everyday.
Children will need a snack/fruit for small break.
