Dear Parents/Guardians of the children making their First Holy Communion,
Preparation for the First Holy Communion is underway and as always the parish, the school and the parents work together to help in the preparation of the children.
Because a smaller number are making their Holy Communion, both Ms. Franey as class teacher and myself will be working with them.
Fr. Boggan has prepared a letter which will go out today outlining the different masses that will happen over the coming weeks and months.
Important dates are:
- Preparation masses will be held in Carrig Hall at 7pm on Mon. Feb. 16th, March 9th and April 20th.
- First Confessions will be held on Monday March 23rd at 7pm in Carrig-on-Bannow church.
- First Holy Communion is at 12 midday on Sat. 9th May in Ballymitty Church.
A booklet will go home next week outlining the lessons we will cover and there will be homework each week with prayers to learn etc.
We wish all our children the best as they prepare for this special occasion.
