Important reminder re GAA Club news

The Coiste na nÓg AGM will take place this Friday evening Dec. 1st at 8pm in Grantstown GAA Complex. All parents are welcome to attend.

What is Coiste na nÓg?

Coiste na nÓg is the underage branch of the local GAA club Bannow/Ballymitty and it introduces boys and girls from Nursery upwards to the skills of hurling/camogie and football.

Bannow/Ballymitty have so many adults who give freely of their time for the smooth running of Coiste na nÓg, this includes Committee members, mentors, trainers and coaches, parents and friends of Bannow/Ballymitty GAA who help in many ways.

Bannow/Ballymitty GAA Club has wonderful amenities including an indoor complex and two pitches in an ideal setting.

Coiste na nÓg has a busy schedule running from the end of January/February where registration takes place well into October and later catering for competitions in Hurling, Camogie and Football right up to U16.

If you can give a few hours here and there and are free to go to the AGM on Friday night it would be greatly appreciated.

GAA is at the heart and soul of this community and it always need new and current members to keep it alive.

GAA is also a wonderful sport for children to be involved in. The benefits are tremendous – it's a prescription for healthy living, it gives a sense of community and belonging and teaches children lots of social skills. It also builds resilience because you don't always win and that's a valuable life lesson.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.
