Dear Parents/Guardians,
Some important reminders:
Next Friday April 4th is the Confirmation for most of the pupils in 5th and 6th classes. On the day, the 3rd and 4th class pupils are all asked to go to the church instead of school for 10.30am. They are part of the choir and have been learning all the songs over the past few months. Their participation is so important and adds to the occasion. They can be collected from the church at 12.20pm that day.
School is open on April 4th for the Junior Infants - 2nd classes until 12.30pm that day. The school buses will run as normal but will leave school at 12.30pm that day. Fresh Today lunches will run as normal.
On next Tues. April 1st , all of the classes from 3rd - 6th will go by bus to Carrig Church for a practice. This will be from 10 - 12 midday.
Church reminders for the day:
- The children making their Confirmation will all sit together at the front of the church.
- Some children making Confirmation are asked to bring their instruments - they can bring those to their seats.
- Some children are doing songs/readings so we ask that they practice those at home
- Parents will sit in the seats behind the pupils
- Each pupil gets allocated two seats only. Siblings being confirmed are allocated two seats per child
- There will be random other seats available on the day - first come, first served
- Bannow Parents' Council have invited families to the school hall for tea/coffee after the ceremony
- The Confirmation is not a full mass but a ceremony and it should be finished by 12.15pm latest
