Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope everyone is keeping safe in this dreadful wet weather! At least the start of February beckons!
A few reminders
Bank Holiday
No school Monday for St. Brigid's Day Bank Holiday.
School Closure for Professional Development
School will be closed next Thursday Feb. 5th to facitilate teacher training on the new curriculum.
GAA
Please remember hurls/helmets each week for hurling sessions. Hurling continues every Friday morning at 8.30am.
Rackard League training starts next Thurs. Feb. 5th in Grantstown GAA complex. School is closed that day but parents are welcome to drop children to that training session. RL matches will start in the coming weeks.
Scór
Well done to all who took part in Scór last week. We wish the set dancing group, solo singer Dara Crosbie, Recitation Sadhbh Lyons and the Novelty/Drama act all the best in the semi-final next Weds. It is the same set up as last week except there are only four schools in each category so it will move along a little quicker. Pupils to be dropped there for 9.30am and can stay for the day as it is nice for them to support each other.
Quiz
A reminder that the 4 Quiz teams will be taking part in the Credit Union quiz in Rathangan Hall next Fri. Feb. 6th at 7.30pm. One of our teachers will be present for a while at the start so it is important that one adult stays with each child. We wish them the best of luck.
Have a lovely weekend everyone,
Audrey
