Weekly Update from Principal

Hi everyone,

Scholastic Book Fair

A huge thank you to the whole school community who bought lots of books and stationery this week. It is wonderful to see all the classes reading books. Thanks to all the parents as your contributions ensure that our school gets a good percentage back in books!

Erasmus

We had a super week welcoming students and teachers from a primary school in Murcia, Spain. They spent all day Tuesday in our school and 5th class got to know them - it was wonderful to see connections being made. On Weds. the group went off to Hook Head where a fabulous day was had by all!

Red Door Restaurant, Carrig-on-Bannow

Our An Choill pupils, other pupils in the school and staff went on an outing today to the Red Door in Carrig-on-Bannow. Our sincere thanks to Michael O'Connor, the owner, who very kindly hosted our pupils from An Choill today. He had a great welcome for them, their own area all laid out and ready and also had made cupcakes for all the kids and staff. The kids were treated to a lovely lunch by Michael and we thank him most sincerely for his kindness. It was great to bring the pupils to a restaurant where they got to order their lunches and eat together. It is also wonderful to see local places supporting people with autism and our school. An outing like this is also a big deal for some of our pupils and taking steps into public places can be hard. Well done to all our wonderful kids who enjoyed the trip and to the wonderful staff who took them there!
