Dear School Community,
On Saturday there was great excitement in Ballymitty! The local Hall Committee who have been fundraising for years found out that their grant application for community development funding was a success.
Paul Kehoe, TD, arrived to the hall with the good news that they had secured €1,398,035 to build a new hall. This hall will be available for community groups to use with all facilities and amenities. It will have a cafe and a place for this community to meet, to socialise and to plan events.
A big well done especially to Sinead O'Sullivan and the committee who have spent so many years fundraising and planning events to secure this wonderful amenity for our community.
For our school, this will be a huge bonus - a place where we can hold concerts and events for the school and community.
We wish the hall committee the very best and we look forward to seeing the first sod being turned!
