Principal's Weekly Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

St. Patrick's Day Parade

For anyone walking with our school keep an eye out for 75th school Anniversary banner. Parade starts at 2pm so meeting time is 1.30pm behind the school in Carrig.

Half in/Half out Staff Meeting on Mon. March 31st

The meeting arranged for March 10th has now been rescheduled so school will close at 2pm for all classes. This is to facilitate a termly staff meeting.

Confirmation

The last preparation mass will be Monday March 24th at 7pm.

On the day of Confirmation there are only two seats for parents/guardians guaranteed per pupil. There will be some spare seats throughout the church.

The 5th and 6th class pupils making Confirmation are going on a retreat on Mon. March 31st to Our Lady's Island.

Box Aerobics

I put up an article this week explaining that we try to expose children to lots of different sports and activities. One of these that starts next week is Box Aerobics. We are asking parents to contribute to this activity as the school, the Lotto and the Parents and Friends' Group have paid for most of the rest of the activities. You will have received an Aladdin link for payment. We are asking for €15 per child from parents. We thank you for your support with this. To see more about the activities we have provided in school click on my article here: http://ballymittyns.ie/News/In-school-activities-for-pupils/898348/Index.html

Mini 7s Boys and Girls teams have been entered. The Boys Mini 7s games will be held on Tues. April 1st in Taghmon.

Mini 7s Girls games will be held on Monday March 31st at 12.45pm. This does clash with the Confirmation retreat so we will work out a plan closer to the time.

We have also entered teams for the Rackard League Rounders.

A very busy sporting time up here!

Lunches

We have noticed that there are so many lunches going home uneaten at this stage. It is both a waste of money and food. Please cancel lunches by emailing wexford@freshtoday.ie - When you email tell them your child's name, their class, their teacher and their school.
