Hi girls,
P/T meetings:
Thanks to everyone for making the P/T meetings. It is always good to meet parents to discuss any concerns and progress etc. We did learn that even though this is a small building that most parents don't know the school layout so next year we will make that easier!
Reading Boost
We will start a Reading Month on Monday March 3rd until the Easter holidays with a focus on getting our pupils to read, to engage with books, to do book reports, to read together etc. In line with that we will host World Book Day on Fri. March 7th (it is officially on March 6th but we will do ours on March 7th!) Pupils can dress up as a character from one of their favourite books. With the mobile library coming every month, it is important that children get time to read at home and as we always say, when you are lost in a book you are never bored!
Half In/Half Out meeting - Monday March 10th
Each school has one termly Half in/Half Out meeting which means pupils go home at 2pm and teachers stay for staff meetings until 4pm. The next one, giving advance notice, is Monday March 10th. All pupils will go home at 2pm that day.
4th Class Hurling Blitz:
