Hi parents and guardians,
The time has thankfully come that we can get back to school. Both 2nd and 3rd Class will be back in the classroom on Monday and I am really looking forward to seeing everybody back in school.
There will not be homework for the next couple of weeks. Everyone needs a break from doing school work at home! We will be doing plenty of revision and going back over work from the last two months in school along with plenty of PE, fresh air and ventilation breaks.
I would ask that your child brings all of their books back into school this Monday. Most children have a big green folder in which their books are kept. (If your child is in Ms. Fitzharris group they wont have brought this home) They can bring their books back in this folder. There are also two smaller envelope folders inside this folder. One is the "completed work" folder and the other is the " to-do" folder. (If you ask your child they will know which is which!). It would be great if these could also come back to school empty and ready to be filled again this term.
**Please put the grammar and spelling booklet into the "to-do" folder once everything else has been taken out.**
It might also be a good idea to check with your child to see if they had enough pencils, rubbers, sharpeners etc in their school pencil case as many pupils did not have all of these when we broke up before Christmas break. This is really important as they wont be able to share with their friends as they usually would.
I would just like to thank you all for your contnued support and patience over the past weeks. It has been a tough time for all. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's return to school please don't hesitate to email me. My email is ballymittyafoley@gmail.com.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again on Monday March 1st.
All the best,
Áine Foley
