Dear Parents/Guardians,
Chess Tournament
We wish Tadhg, Nathanael, Bradley, Donagh, Ali, Sophie, Olly, Max and Adam all the best for their first Ficheall Chess Tournament tomorrow. They will represent the school at the tournament which will be held in Gaelscoil Enniscorthy from 9.30am to 2pm tomorrow. We ask that parents arrive for 9.15am sharp as the tournament will start on time. Pupils will just need to bring their lunch and drink! Best of luck!
Scór
We wish our singers and musicians all the best for the next round of the Scór competition. Best of luck tomorrow to our Ballad Group - Ellie, Alex, Lily, Ruby and Mia and to our Music Group Ellie, Lily, Séamas and Alex and to Alex who is also in the Solo Singing group. This will be held in Carrig-on-Bannow Community Centre and pupils are encouraged to return to school afterwards.
Quiz Teams
A huge well done to our quiz teams who represented the school last Friday in the local Credit Union quiz. Well done to our U-11 team of Max, Cathal and Adam who came 2nd and a special well done to the other U-11 team of Ali and Sophie who were a two person team but managed to come 3rd! Super!
Also, well done to the two U-13 teams who did so well on the night - Daniel, Aimee and Ruby and Nathanael. Alex, Logan and Bradley! Keep up the quizzes everyone!
Swimming
Swimming for 3rd and 4th starts tomorrow morning. Can we ask that all pupils in 3rd/4th are in school promptly tomorrow morning. Also, this is a whole class activity for 3rd and 4th and all pupils are encouraged to go, which keeps the cost down for everyone. We hope you all enjoy your first swim! Thanks to the two parents who have volunteered to help out tomorrow!
New mural
Finally, a huge thank you to one of wonderful Mammies Claire Butler who has spent many hours outside our new An Choill entrance painting a beautiful mural on the wall! It is full of colour, it has various symbols representing school life here in Ballymitty and it is a warm and colourful piece of art welcoming everyone into our school each morning! We thank Claire very much for giving us this wonderful gift!
