Allergy Warning – Please Read
Dear Parents,
There are very serious egg and nut allergies in 2nd/ 3rd Class in our school. These allergies have been brought to your attention every year in school; however it is extremely important for me to remind every child and parent of these allergies as we face into a new school year. There are many foods which contain eggs including:
- Marshmallows
- Mayonnaise
- Meringue
- Baked goods/ buns
- Marzipan
- Frostings
- Pancakes
- Puddings
- Custards
- Many pastas
- Rice yogurts
It is extremely important for the health and safety of pupils in this class that these foods are totally avoided in this class for the year. Bringing in pancakes, sandwiches with mayonnaise/eggs and nuts could be potentially life threatening.
Tomorrow, 27th August 2020, I will send home a letter with your child. To ensure the health and safety of our pupils, I would appreciate your signature on the letter to say that you have read the information and will adhere to our no egg/ no nuts policy.
