To the parents and families of our An Choill pupils,
It has been an un-BOO-lievably busy and productive half term in 'An Choill', so it was really lovely to mark the achievements and hard work of all of our pupils yesterday with a prizegiving ceremony, which was held in An Choill Mhór. Three of our pupils received special awards for the term - Teegan, Conn and Eve - and Alex was crowned best dressed pupil for our 'Halloween Dress-Up Day'. Ms. McCarthy was also in attendance. She took the opportunity to commend all of the pupils of An Choill on their great work and she praised everyone on how well they have all adapted to the new school routines this term.

We had SO much fun after the prizegiving ceremony at our 'Spook'-tacular Annual An Choill Halloween Party! We played games like Zombie Eyeball Toss, Ghost Bowling, Poke the Pumpkin and Witches Hat Hoop Game and we also created a little dancefloor and BOOgied away to some ghoulish songs and music!

Here is a little taster of some of the things we have been up to in An Choill since September...
We have just finished a super fun four-week block of Stretch 'n' Grow. We would like to thank Nicola for all of her amazing ideas and energy. Our pupils loved every minute!
- eTwinning with Norweigan pupils
As part of the eTwinning Project, where schools across Europe connect, the pupils of An Choill Mhór took part in a video call this week with a school in Norway. It is a very small school with only 19 pupils in the whole school! This class has 6 pupils. Each of our pupils from ACM spoke to a child from that class. We found out lots of interesting things about them.
We are planning a fun dance project after the Halloween break where we will show the pupils in Norway a Traditional Irish Dance. They are going to show and teach us a traditional Norwegian dance also.
We have covered themes such as Autumn, Friendship and Halloween this term. Take a look at some of our fabulous creations!
After the mid-term break we are all very excited to be returning to Railway Yard Gallops, for horseriding lessons with Martina! These will begin on Monday 9th November. We will send home a letter with permission slips on Monday 2nd November.
Happy Halloween everyone!
From Ms. Casey, Ms. Kenny, Chris, Síona, Mel & Edyta
