Hello to An Choill Mhór pupils

Hi Josh, Eve, Jaime, Teegan and Tyrese!!!

Happy Monday, I hope you all enjoyed 'Active Home Week' last week and did loads of fun activities!! The weather was so nice I hope you all were out enjoying the sunshine! Here is my weekly check in video.

This week I have posted you packs of work, you should have the packs by tomorrow (Tuesday). In these packs there are lots of fun activities like wordsearches, mazes, spot the difference, join the dots, comprehensions and some drawing activities. I have sent you enough for another two weeks. You can also continue with the other suggested activities from other weeks such as Mental Maths, Epic Reading, Xtramath.org, Prodigy Maths and also the RTE School Hub Programme everyday at 11am. I want you to continue exercising with 'The Body Coach' on Youtube and also Tina has sent Yoga videos so try follow those videos once a week at least.

Did you all have a look at Geraldine's update on our strawberries? They have changed colour and now look like normal strawberries! If you haven't seen it scroll down through the News section and have a look. Once again I would like to say a huge Thank You to Geraldine for looking after these for us. She is doing a super job, I am sure you will agree.

Edyta has been busy video calling you all and she told me how much fun you are all having playing games with her. I'm sure you are all delighted to see her every week, even if it is through the phone or tablet screen! She has suggested a group video call this week through 'Zoom' so I will speak to your parents and try to organise this later in the week, it would be lovely to see you all and chat together.

I know some of you are worried about not being in school and not knowing when we will be going back. All I can say is every Monday we are a week closer to being back in school. The busier you can be during the day will make the days go by quicker. It is extremely hard for us all to find the energy to do school work at home but we are only asking for a little bit, so that we won't fall behind. Yoga, breathing and meditation will help to get you through the tough days so don't forget to do a few minutes of each as often as you can.

Enjoy the week ahead. Hopefully I will see you through a screen later in the week!

Bye for now,

Ms. Curtis
