Hi everyone,
Welcome to the last month of your first year in school. You're nearly there!!
For the month of June we have changed the layout of our plans and instead we have put together a selection of 24 activities in the form of a choiceboard.
This week's activities are based on the theme of waterand we have tried to include at least one activity for each curricular area.
This choice board of activities is suitable for all 4 classes in the Junior end of the school. (Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd Class).
While some activities are aimed specifically at Infants or 1st / 2nd Class, it would be beneficial to all pupils to try the easier and the more challenging work.
Please note that you are not expected to do all 24 activities, they are simply there to give you a choice and to allow you the option of picking your favourites.
6th Class Graduation
Every year, the Junior Infant children have a 'buddy' in 6th Class assigned to them. These buddies help to settle the Junior Infants in and are paired with them for various activities throughout the year. It is now time to bid farewell to the 6th Class and it was suggested that the Junior Infant children might perhaps make a card / write a letter / record a video / draw a picture for their buddies as a way of thanking them for their help and support. You can either post your creation to the school or email it to me / Ms. Barrett and we will make sure to pass them on to the 6th Class boys and girls. Please remember that this is merely a suggestion and there is no pressure on any parent / child to do anything if it isn't convenient to do so.
As always, if you would like to send in any pictures or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on ballymittyteachers@gmail.com and I would be happy to help.
Once again, well done for all your hard work, for staying safe and for staying home.
It hasn't been easy but it has definitely been worth it so keep up the great work! 👏👌
Take care everyone,
Ms. Keogh
