Dear Parents, Pupils and Staff,
Almost there, folks! 1.5 days left in school! More importantly, 7 sleeps until Santa arrives!
This has been a festive week in school and each class had their Prize giving recorded for their Class Blogs this week. They also recorded mini performances in their classrooms. Check out their blogs this week.
Reminder: School will finish at 12 midday on Tues. Dec. 22nd for Christmas holidays. To avoid crowds gathering please note the collection times next Tuesday:
Bus pupils & Junior Infants and Senior Infant pupils: 11.50am
1st - 3rd & siblings of the Infants - 3rd: 12 midday
Remaining pupils from 4th - 6th: 12.10pm
The Ballymitty Infant Club will run on Monday Dec. 21st for the last day. Well done to Sam and Lizie who have run the club so well and so safely since September.
Look who rang for chocolate today - Isabelle for being a great contributor to class and Alesha for being kind and helpful! Well done girls!
Finally, Covid 19 cases have grown in this area over the past week. This has not directly affected our school but we all have a responsibility to keep ourselves and each other safe. While Christmas is so busy and we all need to have certain things ready and purchased, we do need to make sure that our visits everywhere are essential only. Our kids in school certainly feel the difference that this year brings in relation to family time, visits to friends, trips to Santa, shopping and what Christmas Day itself will be like compared to other years. In school we all feel how different our celebrations are this year. But the most important things are:
- To keep ourselves safe so that the vulnerable people in our community can be safe.
- To keep ourselves safe so that we can get our pupils back to school on January 6th.
We have been asked to share this letter from Dr. Tony Holohan. It is addressed to all parents and reminds us all of the need to stay safe over the next few days and weeks - Click here.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Regards,
Audrey
