Re: Parents and Friends Group Meeting - Monday Oct. 7th at 7pm
All schools must have a Parents' Association which all parents are part of simply by being a parent in the school.
Schools then must form a Parents' Council which we have renamed as the Parents and Friends Group (P&FG). These are an elected group of parents from the PA who help to support the school and staff with various events, activities, policies, fundraising etc. Each Parents' Council should have an elected Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer to function correctly.
There is an AGM held every year and the next one is next Monday Oct. 7th at 7pm in the school.
We are hoping this year to get two parents involved from each class as there are some upcoming events to discuss, plan and organise. The following items will be discussed at the AGM on Monday evening:
- Code of Positive Behaviour - which has been updated
- Christmas Fundraiser
- The school's 75th Anniversary in 2025. We will be looking for a group of parents to lead the 75th celebrations
