A message from Wexford Library - Summer Stars Reading Adventure which we highly recommend for all our pupils to keep them reading over the summer!

Enjoy all the fun and excitement of reading this summer with the Summer Stars Reading Adventure at Wexford Town Library!

We have something for all readers - including graphic novels, dyslexia friendly titles, sensory books, eAudiobooks, eBooks and more.....
All reading counts towards your Summer Stars Reading Adventure!

The Summer Stars Reading Adventure is an exciting reading-based programme which is available free of charge to children across the country.
Wexford Town Library invites children of all ages to register for their reading adventure from Monday 17th June.
Simply visit the library with your child's library card and we can sign you up for a summer of reading and rewards!
Upon signing-up, each child receives a Summer Stars Booklet where they can record the books they read, draw their favourite characters from the stories, and even write book reviews.
They also get to place their own star on our special Summer Stars Star Board, and a bookmark template for our Summer Stars bookmark competition!

Summer Stars Prizes & Rewards

Can you read up to 8 books? With every two books read, each child will be entered into a draw for some amazing prizes. They also have their booklet stamped, receive special Summer Stars stickers, a Certificate of Achievement, and a unique Summer Star 3-D printed medal on making it all the way to 8 books!

Be in with a chance to win a family cinema trip to
The Arc Cinema, Wexford.
This draw will take place on Saturday 13th July.

Read 4 books
Be in with a chance to win a family trip to the National Heritage Park.
This draw will take place on Saturday 27th July.

Read 6 books
Be in with a chance to win a family pass to Leisure Max Wexford
This draw will take place on Saturday 10th August.

Read 8 books
Receive your special Summer Stars 3D printed medal
and certificate of achievement!

We will have a big celebration day with an amazing event at end of the
summer to celebrate all our fantastic readers!
Booking will be essential as places are limited. More details to follow.

Summer Stars Reading Adventure
Bookmark Competition

Create your own design, use any art style you like and let your creative imagination run free.

Pick up a bookmark template from Wexford Town Library when you register for your reading adventure.
The theme for the bookmark competition is 'Where do you like to read?

Bring your design back to Wexford Town Library, drop your entry into the competition box before the 26th July.
The draw will take place Saturday 27th July, and the winning bookmark design will be printed for all to see & available in Wexford Town Library for
everyone to take home.

Wexford Town Library will host a range of free events and activities for all ages throughout the summer.
