Dear Parents/Guardians,
We wish our very best to our 5th/6th class pupils who are part of the Erasmus group visiting Spain next week.
Two pupils from 5th and 15 pupils from 6th will fly to Reus, Barcelona on Monday morning next. They have a busy schedule for the week:
We will visit Escola Sant Bernat Calvo on Tuesday, meeting all the classes in this very big school in a town called Vila-Seca. We will meet the Mayor of Vila-Seca after our tour of their school and their town.
On Wednesday, we will meet their senior pupils and visit Port Aventura Adventure Park for the day.
On Thursday, we are visiting Tarragona city, seeing the amphitheatre, visiting the port and doing a train trip to finish!
We are very excited here up in school!
A few reminders for parents:
Meeting at 5.15am latest on Monday morning at Redmond Square for the Wexford Bus.
Pupils should have a backpack/small bag for their carry-on items. Pupils need to bring a snack/small lunch and a drink for the plane as we are flying at lunchtime. We are discouraging paying for Ryanair food!!
Please remember to pack any medication into a sandwich bag with your child's name on it and you can give this to your child's lead teacher/SNA on Monday morning.
The weather looks good so sunglasses, a sun hat would be advisable and also make sure to pack the sunscreen.
No phones/switches allowed on the trip.
I will be sending out a WhatsApp message this morning from the school mobile to all parents with pupils travelling. Please send a thumbs up on receipt of this.
We will pop up daily articles on the website for all the school community to see.
For the 5th/6th class pupils remaining in school, there is a sub teacher in for the week and all work/routines continue as normal.
Regards,
Audrey
