Weekly Update from Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope the pupils have all settled back after their first few days.

We remind parents to label all school belongings, half zips etc.

A reminder that pupils cannot receive their books until all book bills have been sorted. If there are issues paying with bank cards, please let us know and they can be paid for with cash.

For all pupils with medical needs, allergies etc. please request an Administration of Medication form from Helena. For pupils who we know have medical needs/allergies we will send home the Administration of Medication forms today. These need to be filled out as soon as possible and we need parents to inform the class teacher of any necessary medical information.

Event calendar - this will be done to outline the various school events and activities that happen throughout the school year. It gives parents/guardians time to prepare for any of these events and activities.

One of the annual celebrations that we have is Friendship Week. This will be from Sept. 19th - 23rd. On Friday Sept. 23rd we will have our Opening Year School Mass in Ballymitty Church. All classes will attend and all parents/guardians and school community members are welcome to attend.

Fr. Martin Pender will be leaving the parish and returning to South Africa at the end of September. The Opening Year Mass on Fri. Sept. 23rd will be his final mass with us. We wish him all the best in the future and thank him for the ways in which he supported the school.

Our phone lines came back at midday today! We thank you for your patience! There are new email addresses for contacting teachers and these will be put up on a separate article.

Junior Infants Parent Information meeting: Monday Sept. 19th at 7pm. It is really important that all parents attend.

Our new building is almost ready. We think and hope that we will be able to move in next Friday evening after school. It is very exciting and it looks fabulous!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Audrey
